RELEASE OF HANDICAPS

For all meets handicaps will be released on the Tuesday prior to the carnival by 9am.

Bay Sheffield Handicaps will be released by the 19th of December

A Handicap Review Request Form can be lodged within 24 hours of the handicaps being released. This form can be accessed at http://www.saal.org.au/index.php?id=109

Handicaps can be altered if additional results are provided after the declaration of handicaps or as a result of the Handicap Review.

The SAAL captures data for performances from SAAL, VAL and ASA, performances with all other bodies should be submitted using the form at the bottom of your results list page here.

  • If you won’t be racing we ask that you scratch prior to 7pm on the day you receive a text from SAAL to allow us to remove scratchings from our program. This will save time on the day and fill heats.
  • Athletes can also scratch any time no less than 60 minutes before the time appointed for starting of the first heat of such event.
  • These later notifications to the SAAL Office will be by text to 0400 353 506 or at the SAAL tent on race day. Athletes must identify themselves and each race they are scratching from in any communications.

Prizemoney Payments

All prizemoney will be paid by bank transfer. Therefore, all athletes will be required to provide their BSB and account number. Payments will be made approximately one week following the carnival.

*Under 14 and Under 18 athletes must be registered with a coach or parent and cannot be self trained.
*Under 14 athletes can only enter under 14 and under 18 events.
**Women can enter women’s events and novice events where eligible.
***Over 35 - can only enter O35 and O45 races (age permitting) - Cannot enter Open races (those over the age of 35 who wish to enter Open or Women's races should register in those categories)
